Tableau Vivant

I have yet to conclusively determine whether the art form known as tableau vivant is fabulous or just plain freaky. I first encountered it while watching an episode of the late, great "Arrested Development." One of the characters, participating in Michelangelo's "The Creation of Adam", tries to make a jailbreak during the pageant. At the time, I assumed that the whole idea of people "re-enacting" paintings was just the product of a staff writer's twisted imagination, but apparently this is a legitimate form of entertainment in Laguna Beach.
